The teenager Linda Noskova ranked 50th beat the top seed (top ranked) Iga Swiatek in Australian Open 2024 after easy win over Swiatek 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 for third round on Saturday.

The world Number one (1st) Iga Swiatek is out of the Australian open 2024, she was struggling and suffering a third-round exit at the hands of unseeded teenager Linda Noskova, losing with 6-3 3-6 6-4.

Linda Nosková (born 17 November 2004) is a Czech professional tennis player. She defeats the world Number one at an Australian Open 2024 since Amelie Mauresmo beat Lindsay Davenport in the 1999 semi-finals.

World number one Iga Swiatek became the latest top-10 seed to crash out of the Australian Open on Saturday as Carlos Alcaraz sent a chilling warning to his rivals.

But the tournament is turning into a graveyard for the seeds and the 22-year-old four-time major winner lost her way after winning the first set, going down 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Poland’s Swiatek came into the third-round match against 50th-ranked Linda Noskova on an 18-match unbeaten run, targeting a first title at Melbourne Park.

On the other hand, the four-time Grand Slam winner has yet to win in Melbourne, with a semi-final run in 2022 still her best showing. Her earliest exit at the tournament since losing in the second round on her debut in 2019.

After winning the match Noskova said, “I’m speechless. Obviously, I knew it was going to be an amazing match, she’s such a great player, but I didn’t really think it would end up like this.

“I’m just really glad to get through this one. I was really shaking (when serving for the match).”
