Asian Games 2023 Day 10: Indian Did Best, Annu Rani, Parul Chaudhary win gold and men’s cricket team enters in semi-finals.

Annu Rani Won Women’s Javelin Throw Gold

Annu Rani threw a season best 62.92m long to win the women’s javelin throw gold medal at the Asian Games 2023 at Hangzhou. It is her second Asian Games medal former she wins bronze in 2014 with 59.14m.

The national record holder 31-year-old Annu Rani threw her spear 63.82m at the Indian Open Javelin Throw Competition in 2022.

Dilhani Lekamge a Sri Lanka’s thrower threw a personal best of 61.57m to win the silver at Lyu Huihui wins bronze with a best throw of 61.29m in Asian Games at Hangzhou.

Indian men’s Bridge team lead against China after 3 rounds

The Bridge Indian men’s team scored 102.6 points in 48 boards against China, who scored 75, after three rounds in the semi-final at the Asian Games 2023.

The three rounds are as below:

  • Session 1: China 22-62 India
  • Session 2: India 17-31 China
  • Session 3: China 22-22 India

In Decathlon: Tejaswin Shankar wins silver

In the decathlon Tejaswin Shankar clocked 4:48.32 and scored 629 points in the final event, a 1500m race. However, Tejaswin wins the silver medal. 

Tejaswin Shankar also won the high jump, long jump and 400m race in the men’s decathlon at Hangzhou. With a combined score of 7666, he also break the previous Indian men’s decathlon national record by eight points.

Long Jump: Bronze for Praveen Chitharavel

 The 22 years old Praveen Chitharavel made a best jump of 16.68m, in his first attempt, to win the men’s triple jump bronze medal on his Asian Games debut at Hangzhou. Also Abdulla Aboobacker jumped a best of 16.62m, in his second attempt, to rank fourth.

5000 meter athlete Parul Chaudhary Gold, and in 800 meter Mohammed wins silver.

In the 5000m event, Parul Chaudhary clocked 15:14.75 in the women’s final, taking home a Gold medal at the Asian Games 2023. The 28-year-old Parul, who won women’s 5000m silver at the Asian Championships earlier this year and now it gives her a better experience and she became a gold Medal winner.

It is Parul Chaudhary’s second medal of the 19th Asian Games, following her women’s 3000m steeplechase silver on Monday. Indian athletes have now clinched 14 gold medals at Hangzhou.

In the 800m event 27 year old Mohammed Afsal Pulikkalakath, won the men’s silver medal with a time of 1:48.43 at the Asian Games 2023 at Hangzhou.

High jump event, not bad for India, the 16-year-old Pooja finished fifth with a best leap of 1.80m. Rubina Yadav jumped a best of 1.75m, ranking ninth in the Asian games 2023 at Hangzhou 2023.

In Chess: Women’s team clean sweep Mongolia, men’s team played draw vs Iran

Vaishali Rameshbabu, Koneru Humpy, Vantika Agrawal and Savitha Shri Baskar, all, won their games as India beat Mongolia 4.0-0.0 in the women’s chess team round 5 match.

The men’s chess team of India, drew 2.0-2.0 against the table toppers Islamic Republic of Iran at the Asian Games 2023.

In Badminton Kidambi Srikanth makes place into pre-quarters

The 30 year old Indian men’s singles badminton ace Kidambi Srikanth who is ranked 21st in the world, won 21-16, 21-11 against world No. 122 Yunggyu Lee in the Asian Games 2023 at Hangzhou.

In the other match, HS Prannoy and PV Sindhu also won their respective men’s singles matches while Treesa Jolly / Gayatri Gopichand and Tanisha Crasto / Ashwini Ponnappa also made the women’s doubles round of 16.

In Squash: Dipika Pallikal and Harinderpal Singh sandhu win mixed quarters, assured medal

Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu won 2-1 against the Philippines’ Jemyca Aribado and Robert Andrew Garcia in the mixed doubles quarter-finals and assured a medal for India and as they played today, It seems they easily got gold at the Asian Games 2023.

Both will fight in semi-final versus Lee Ka Yi and wong Chi Him tomorrow at 9:30 AM IST.
